Registration to a collection society

Registration to a collection society is not a requirement to distribute your music with Nota Bene Distribution but helps to secure the rights of your music.

Platforms like YouTube, Spotify, Tidal etc. all operate manage and monetise your music online internationally. Accurate metadata and registration at relevant organisation is crucial for these systems to accurately recognise and protect your music so securing your music rights internationally is more important than ever.

These organisations - also referred to as either performing rights organisations or collective management organisations are responsible for the tracking, collection, and payment of earned royalties they collect directly to relevant copyright owners.

Please note that we don't register your release to collecting societies, they offer a specific service to collect author(s) copyrights, while we collect master rights for your release so you need full rights of master recording if you want to distribute with us.
