How to distribute a cover!

If You did your version of an existing song whereby the songwriters are NOT from the US and You did NOT change the lyrics,
the melod,y basic arrangement and/or the genre...
You're good to go and You can distribute your cover version worldwide!

PLEASE NOTE:
Make sure to enter correct name(s) of the composers, lyricists and publishers of the original song when entering metadata!
Don't forget to mark song as "cover version".
Legally speaking, the original rights holder still reserves the right to request the take down of your cover version.

What you must provide:
The name(s) of the original publisher(s) of the song, original composer(s) and original lyricist(s)!
You can use a work database from a collecting society like GEMA, SUISA etc.

If You did your version of an existing song but the songwriters ARE from the USA,
but You did NOT change the lyrics, melody and You did NOT change the basic arrangement (e.g. Verse/Chorus/Verse/Chorus etc) or the genre
of the song than exclude North America from the distribution territories or get a Compulsory License from f.e. http://www.songfile.com/
